Y’all remember the days of surveys? I’m not talking Lewis & Clark, people. I’m talking Myspace bulletins & Facebook notes. Decided to complete this short exercise as a throwback – it’s TV-related, don’t worry. No need to read my elaborate answers to “Have you ever made a snow angel?” or “Who was your first kiss?” Incidentally, I have, and it was a guy named Paul in 5th grade whom I had to beg. But I digress.
Pick your five favorite TV shows (in no particular order) and answer the following questions.
1. Breaking Bad
2. Mad Men
3. Six Feet Under
Who’s your favorite character in 2?
I have love for many, but I enjoy Peggy most consistently.
Who’s your least favorite character in 1?
What’s your favorite episode of 4?
“The Power of Madonna,” season 2.
What’s your favorite season of 5?
Season 2. Blasting open the hatch basically unleashed the entire show and it was REDONK.
What’s your favorite ship in 3?
Nate and Brenda. They are beautiful and complicated.
Who is your anti-ship in 2?
Peggy & Abe. The sexual chemistry is just not okay.
How long have you watched 1?
I caught up on the first season or two about half a year ago and have been watching since.
How did you become interested in 3?
I’d heard and read for years that it was like, a flawless masterpiece, but it seemed too adult for me. Then my youthful spark extinguished and ya girl got distinguished, so I got hooked. It really is a religious experience.
Who’s your favorite actor in 4?
Chris Colfer or Lea Michele.
Which show do you prefer? 1, 2, or 5?
Mad Men wins. LOST was addictive and BB is genius craftsmanship, but MM lives somewhere deep inside.
Which show have you seen more episodes of; 1 or 3?
SFU, by virtue of there being more episodes of it.
If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Derrr, I’d be Rachel Berry!
How would you kill off your favorite character in 1?
Ugh, Jesse? I have to kill plucky little Jesse? I’d probably have him die in a violent heroic explosion where he takes Walt down with him.
Give a random quote from 1.
Would a 3/4 crossover work?
No. Six Feet Under and Glee live on opposite sides of town. Never the twain shall meet.
Pair two characters in 2 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.
Peggy and Roger. It’d be casual and quippy but still hot!
Has 5 inspired you in any way?
It definitely brought me back to more of a cheesy mystery headspace. Allowed me to get wrapped up in multi-layered ridiculosity and suspend disbelief for the sake of being part of a huge Lostie cultural zeitgeist. Lots of fun.
Overall, which show has a better cast? 2 or 4?
PSH. Clearly Mad Men.
Which has better theme music; 3 or 5?
Considering the LOST theme is a prolonged eerie hum, SFU wins by default.
